SMS Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 3, 2026
These SMS Terms of Service ("SMS Terms") govern text messages sent by or on behalf of Alleviate Tax ("Alleviate Tax," "we," "us," or "our"). By opting in to receive SMS or MMS messages from Alleviate Tax, you agree to these SMS Terms.
1. SMS Program Description
Alleviate Tax may use SMS and MMS messaging to communicate with prospective and current clients regarding our tax relief and resolution services.
Depending on your relationship with Alleviate Tax and the consent you have provided, messages may include:
- Responses to requests for information
- Consultation scheduling and appointment reminders
- Case or service-related notifications
- Requests for documents or information
- Account and customer service communications
- Important deadlines or status updates
- Follow-up communications regarding an inquiry or request
- Promotional or marketing communications, where permitted by law and where appropriate consent has been obtained
Message frequency varies based on your interaction with Alleviate Tax and the services you request.
2. Consent to Receive Text Messages
By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in to SMS communications, you consent to receive text messages from or on behalf of Alleviate Tax at the mobile number you provided.
Where applicable, you agree that messages may be sent using automated technology.
Your consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Alleviate Tax.
Consent applies only to the telephone number you provide. You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that telephone number and are authorized to provide consent for messages to be sent to it.
3. Marketing and Service Communications
Alleviate Tax may send different types of text messages depending on the consent you provide.
Service and Transactional Messages may include appointment reminders, case updates, requests for information, customer service communications, and other messages related to an existing inquiry or service relationship.
Marketing Messages may include information about Alleviate Tax services, offers, promotions, or opportunities to speak with a tax professional.
Where prior express written consent is required by applicable law for marketing communications, Alleviate Tax will obtain that consent before sending such messages.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies.
The number of messages you receive may depend on your requests, your case activity, appointments, deadlines, communications with Alleviate Tax, and whether you have separately elected to receive marketing communications.
Alleviate Tax does not guarantee that any particular number of messages will be sent.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply to messages sent to or received from Alleviate Tax.
Your wireless carrier's standard messaging, data, and other charges may apply. Alleviate Tax is not responsible for charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
Contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your text or data plan.
6. How to Opt Out
You may withdraw your consent to receive text messages at any time.
Reply STOP to any Alleviate Tax text message to unsubscribe.
We also recognize other reasonable requests indicating that you no longer wish to receive text messages, including words or phrases such as:
- STOP
- QUIT
- END
- REVOKE
- OPT OUT
- CANCEL
- UNSUBSCRIBE
We will process reasonable opt-out requests in accordance with applicable law.
After receiving an opt-out request, we may send one final text message confirming that your request has been processed. That confirmation will not contain marketing or promotional content.
After opting out, you will no longer receive messages requiring your consent unless you subsequently provide consent again.
Opting out of text messaging does not necessarily prevent Alleviate Tax from contacting you through other methods that you have authorized or that are otherwise permitted by law.

12. No Guarantee of Message Delivery
Alleviate Tax does not guarantee that SMS or MMS messages will be received.
Messages may be delayed, blocked, or undelivered due to circumstances including carrier filtering, network availability, device settings, telephone number changes, service interruptions, or other technical issues.
You should not rely solely on text messaging for time-sensitive communications regarding your tax matter.
13. Security of Text Messages
Standard SMS and MMS communications are not guaranteed to be encrypted or secure.
You should not send highly sensitive information—including Social Security numbers, banking credentials, passwords, or complete payment card information—by text message unless specifically directed to use a secure Alleviate Tax communication method.
